There are many hardware players that will play Ogg Vorbis. See http://wiki.xiph.org/index.php/VorbisHardware for a list and links to portable and static players. The Apple iPod is merely the most heavily advertised portable digital audio player, it is not the most capable or highest quality. For some time now, one has had the option to get a portable digital audio player that will play more formats than what Apple sells and even a player that runs on free software (software you can share and modify). Some games use Ogg Vorbis too (http://wiki.xiph.org/index.php/Games_that_use_Vorbis).

But eventually people will wise up to how DRM restricts what media they have access to, and then they will realize why unencumbered media is inherently more valuable.
